BACK BAY, BOSTON
This couple came to Buyuk Interiors in need of turnkey design and project management services for their second home in one of Back Bay’s premiere boutique condominium complexes adjacent to the Boston Public Garden. They had been living and practicing medicine in Saudi Arabia for 30 years prior, and were looking to re-establish their roots in New England. Lisa was tasked with providing space planning, furnishings and custom window treatments that invoke a warm, welcoming, environment reflective of the couple’s respective Syrian and American heritage.
Working closely with her clients, Lisa juxtaposed traditional elements with modern European furnishings to create a textured eclectic feeling reflective of the couple’s two cultures. Color was used like a quilt to thread the spaces together. Custom millwork was introduced to the high-end finishes tailoring the space to the couple’s needs and adding much needed storage and display space for their art and decorative objects. Lisa and her team oversaw the design details of all millwork, furnishing and custom drapery selections, procurement of goods and final installations. When the couple arrived in Boston for their first stay every detail was addressed right down to fresh linens on the bed and flowers on the foyer console.
